The golf school at Aviara Golf Academy is located in Carlsbad, CA, which is just north of San Diego. The golf school instruction is performed at the immaculately manicured Arnold Palmer designed Aviara Golf Club, which has breathtaking ocean views. World-renowned golf instructor Kip Puterbaugh heads the golf school. Kip is one of Golf Magazine's "Top 100" golf school instructors and the Aviara Golf Academy is rated among the top golf schools in the nation.

The Aviara Golf Academy is considered the premier golf school in Southern California. It is one of only three golf schools worldwide that's been rated by Golf Magazine as a Gold Medallion resort, which has a Top 100 Teacher and is a Top 25 Golf School. Aviara Golf School is the longest running golf school in the Western United States with the most consistent staff with over 100 total years of teaching experience. The golf school opened in 1987 and their six instructors have all had a minimum of 7 years experience at Aviara. Kip and his staff of professionals Bruce Nakamura, Ken Green, Wayne Searle, Ted Norby, Ken Green, Bob Knee, and Grant Halverson have combined to create a unique golf school curriculum. The curriculum gives students of all playing abilities a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of playing better golf. Club Fitting
Aviara also has the TaylorMade Performance Lab on the premises, which uses TaylorMade�s patent golf swing analysis system called MATT (Motion Analysis Technology by TaylorMade). It is considered the world�s most advanced golf swing analysis system, which offers the same state-of-the-art computerized golf club fitting system used by the touring pros. It is a nine-camera system that captures every aspect of the golf swing. The golf swing analysis process can be completed in one hour, and you�re then taken to the adjacent driving range where you get to swing your newly fitted golf clubs.

Aviara offers 1, 2, and 3-day golf school courses at the rates of $695, $1250, and $1650 respectively. After attending their golf school you�ll have an understanding of what makes your golf swing work, how to practice golf, and how to play golf for consistent progress.
